1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, signing in via Google, Microsoft, or WhatsApp OTP, or otherwise accessing AgentBooks, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our
Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and AgentBooks Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
2. Description of Service
AgentBooks provides cloud-based financial management software including GST filing, invoicing, payroll, TDS management, AI-powered financial analysis, and related tools for Indian businesses and CA/CS professionals. We offer two divisions:
- Business Suite (Division 1): For SMEs, startups, and traders
- Professional Suite (Division 2): For CA/CS firms managing multiple clients
3. Account Registration & OAuth Sign-In
You may register using email/password or sign in via Google OAuth, Microsoft OAuth, or WhatsApp OTP. By using OAuth sign-in, you authorise AgentBooks to receive your name and email from the respective provider. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Ensuring your account information is accurate and up to date
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access at security@agentbooks.in
One account per person. Business accounts may have multiple users under one organisation.
4. Free Trial & Subscription
- 14-day free trial with full feature access — no credit card required
- After the trial, a paid subscription is required to continue using the platform
- Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually as selected
- All fees are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable GST
- No refunds for partial months; annual plans may be refunded within 7 days of renewal
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Indian law
- Submit false, fraudulent, or misleading financial data
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code
- Use automated bots or scrapers to access the platform
- Share your account credentials with unauthorised third parties
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform's infrastructure
6. Financial Data & Compliance
AgentBooks is a software tool. We are not a chartered accountant, tax advisor, or financial institution. While we facilitate GST filing and compliance workflows:
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy of data you submit to government portals
- We are not liable for penalties arising from incorrect filings
- Always verify critical financial data with a qualified CA/CS professional
- We do not provide legal, tax, or investment advice
7. Data Ownership
You retain full ownership of all financial data, invoices, and business records you upload or create on AgentBooks. We claim no ownership over your data. You grant us a limited licence to process your data solely to provide the service. Upon account deletion, your data is exported and then purged per our Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
The AgentBooks platform, including its software, design, AI models, and content, is owned by AgentBooks Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and protected by Indian and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without written permission.
9. Service Availability
We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated 24 hours in advance. We are not liable for losses arising from downtime, data loss, or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, AgentBooks' total liability for any claim shall not exceed the subscription fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including loss of profits or data.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms, non-payment, or fraudulent activity. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon termination, your data will be available for export for 30 days before deletion.
12. Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka. We encourage resolving disputes through our support team before initiating legal proceedings.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms with 14 days' notice via email and in-app notification. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
